Chirpy is a hit at ODC!!!!
Chirpy, a little orphaned house finch, recently entertained the students at ODC. What a learning experience for all! Chirpy will be released to her natural habitat as soon as she is able to take care of herself. Sometimes our wildlife friends just need a little helping hand, but they are never to be kept and caged as pets. If you find a little friend that needs a helping hand, call the SPCA or Va. Beach Animal Control, and they will get you in touch with one of the many wildlife rehabilitators that donate their time to give wildlife a fighting chance. If you had the chance of meeting Chirpy, click on the comment button and let me know what you thought of her.

Chirpy is super cute. I even got to see him eat and wipe his beak off on his little branch. I hope I get to see him again before he leaves us.

From all the coments I heard about Chirpy I thought I would write one. I heard someone say that he is so cute. On the ODC weblog I saw Chirpy’s family, but I didn’t see Chirpy. Hope you like my comment.

Chirpy was a great experience. Chirpy was very cute. Chirpy had a very creative mind of his own. Chirpy had a nice little chirp. Your daughter is very nice for bringing Chirpy to our school. Thanks for letting us see Chirpy.

When chirpy made bird noises I had a feeling he wanted to go out and play with the other birds!!! I wonder how Chirpy is doing now alone in the nature alone or if he found a family that excepted him Bye
