Regions of the United States

Our 4th grade students are studying the regions of the United States.  During Social Studies they focus on the geographical, cultural economical, and historical aspects of the states. During Math the students are grouped in regions and travel calculating mileage on roads of historical paths.
To experience the relationship between geography and culture, a United States Taste Testing Day is held.  Listen to some of the descriptions of foods and their culture associated with it.   Can you help add to our list of cultural foods???

We think this is a very cool idea. Our class wants to know how to do this recording. As soon as I started to play the recordings, I had more than half of the class cluster around the computer.

Just hearing your descriptions of the foods that were tasted during “The Taste of the States” activity made me hungry! Even the Dogs in a Blanket recipe sounded delicious, and I am a vegetarian! I wonder if I could make those, but use a veggie dog?? Hearing the history behind the recipe was interesting.
